Road resurfacing between Gatcombe and Chillerton is now finished after only two nights.
Due to rescheduling, the sections between Coxs corner and Gatcombe Road and between Highwood lane and Loverstone Lane junctions, has been put back till October.
We are safe till then!
Please see below regarding the resurfacing of the road from Whitecroft Cox’s Corner to Loverstone Lane junction.
This has now shifted to 8 nights August 8 to 15, from 7.30pm to 6am.
It is being done in two sections, the second section, from the Gatcombe village junction to Loverstone Lane, will be the most disruptive for Chillerton residents getting to and from Newport as it requires a long diversion via Chale or Shorwell.
When Island Roads give us exact dates for closure of each section a further update will be posted.
