Chillerton and Gatcombe Community Association is the working name for the Village Hall Charity [ Registered Charity No: 286944 ]
The Village Hall and Reading Room are huge assets to the residents of Chillerton and Gatcombe and are used by many groups and organisations on a regular basis as well as hosting community events.
The hall has a well equipped kitchen and disabled toilet facility. It’s perfect for parties, meetings, rehearsals and exercise classes.
Situated in the middle of the village, it can cater for a maximum of 50 people. Bookings are based on morning, afternoon or evening sessions, costing £10 per session, with discounts available for local residents.
The Reading Room is a fully licensed premises with a well-stocked bar, two full size snooker tables and traditional pub pastimes such as darts and cards.
As a purely social venue, The Reading Room opens on Mondays and Saturdays between 8pm and 11pm and is open to all.
It is also regularly open on a Tuesday evening when home snooker matches are played. Fun bingo usually takes place on two Fridays in the month and The Reading Room is increasingly becoming the venue of choice for one-off celebratory community events.
The Reading Room is available to hire for private functions, with or without the bar facility, and is particularly suitable for Christening celebrations, meetings and training sessions.
